Model 1 Model 2 Model3
Peak 30-min cadence 2,038 478
Tertile 1 (lowest) 680 193 1 (Reference) 1 (Reference) 1 (Reference)
Tertile 2 671 160 0.79 (0.62−1.01) 0.83 (0.64−1.07) 1.02 (0.76−1.36)

p-value for trend <0.001 <0.001 0.061
Per SD in peak 30-min cadence 0.76 (0.69−0.84) 0.77 (0.69−0.85) 0.86 (0.76−0.97)

Model 1 was unadjusted. Model 2 was adjusted for sex and age. Model 3 was adjusted for Model 2 plus body mass index, smoking status, alcohol drinking status, education level, household income level, and energy intake.

OR: odds ratio, CI: confidence interval, SD: standard deviation.

A 1 SD in peak 30-min cadence is equivalent to 24.5 steps/min.
